Autistic Girls

‘I Am Autistic and Fabulous’ was designed as a neurodiversity-affirming resource book created to help autistic girls to understand the ways their amazing brains respond to the world.

My autistic daughter helped me to write it to ensure that the voice of a young autistic girl could be authentically heard.

The book explores experiences including:

• sensory differences

• masking at school

• navigating friendships

• learning to advocate for themselves

• routines and perfectionism

• coping with change

• managing big feelings
